As a researcher, she obtained her International Ph.D. in Advance Architectural Projects from ETSAM, UPM (cum laude), with Learning from Las Vegas and Made in Tokyo: Pedagogy and Drawing of the Architectural Project (2021), being awarded the Extraordinary Prize by the Polytechnic University of Madrid (2021), and the Best Doctoral Thesis Prize by COAM (2022). Toro is a Research Fellow from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando in Spain + Arquia Foundation (2018); Visiting Scholar, Columbia GSAPP (2019); a Postdoc Researcher, Margarita Salas UPM (2022-2024, and visiting scholar, TU Berlin (2022-2023).
